About Me

Edward Bride is president and founder of Berkshires Jazz, Inc., whose mission is to present jazz performances, encourage jazz education, and promote the local jazz scene in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

Berkshires Jazz, Inc. was formed in 2009 by the committee who planned and organized the Pittsfield CityJazz Festival, an annual event that started in 2005.

In addition to his work as president of Berkshires Jazz, Inc., Edward Bride is past-president of the New England Jazz Alliance, which operates the New England Jazz Hall of Fame.

He also served as secretary and vice president of the New England Jazz Ensemble, a 16-piece big band based in central Connecticut. The non-profit band is chartered to perform new compositions written by its staff, which largely comprises jazz educators at the high school and college level.
