Dror Perl

About Me

Dror is an accomplished international performer, composer, piano teacher, and a writer. He has been studying and playing the piano and keyboard since the age of five. He studied at Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, where he earned his first music degree. During this period, he received several different Excellency scholarships, performed and toured with the colleges representative ensemble and his own group, and participated and won awards in prestigious competitions such as Jazz Player of the Year 2000.

In 2001, Dror moved to New York where he earned his BA in Jazz studies at SUNY Empire State College. He also studied with the legendary pianist Dr. Barry Harris at his workshop.

Dror has since played in a number of venues throughout the tri-state area as the leader of a jazz trio and duo. Dror performs his renditions of jazz standards as well as his own compositions and can be heard regularly at Louis 649 and other reputable New York clubs.

Dror has been teaching music for many years, in music schools and privately, as well as composing and arranging different styles of music.
