About Me

I was part of Sun Ra in the 1980's and 90's and part of Archie Shepp's group. I am an owner of my own record label and recording studio and I run a school for young players to learn more about Jazz by having them perform with major Master Musicians and video tape their performances so they can learn directly from the same traditional ways that Elvin Jones, Max Roach, Art Blakey and myself learned from. My school has over 1200 videos of myself and others performing and teaching.
