Douglas Detrick, 25, is a composer, trumpet player and music teacher based in Eugene, Oregon. Equally at home as a performer and a composer, he is a versatile and eclectic musician. Douglas leads the AnyWhen Ensemble, and chamber jazz group; the Douglas Detrick Quintet, an original jazz group; and co-leads the Detrick/Swigart Jazz Orchestra, an original big band; Any Permutation, an improvisation trio, and also does freelance work in the Pacific Northwest.
