Described by fans as being one of the most dynamic, soulful, entertaining vocalists on the jazz scene today, Donna creates a sophisticated, “coolness” to the American standards, as well as with her own compositions. Her vocal interpretations, along with her quick wit and captivating personality, have caused audiences to call her “spell-bounding”. She was named “Entertainer of the Year” in the early 90’s by Promise Records I New York. Donna was recently honored with an invitation to perform for the legendary Dave Brubeck, in honor of his 86th birthday at The Manchester Craftsman’s Guild. Her latest CD release, Donna Bailey & Friends, was produced by four-time Grammy winner, Jay Dudt, and includes nine world-class musicians. It features a 10-tune collection that captures the alluring sprit of jazz, bringing memories of times past. Donna’s professional healthcare background lends credibility to her Residency Programs, which includes performances that concentrate on the positive cognitive effects of music therapy for Alzheimer’s care. She is a vocal and performance coach and enjoys working with young students with a passion for the arts.
