Delton Walker — Contemporary Jazz Saxophonist | Recording Artist | Bandleader Delton Walker is a contemporary jazz and smooth jazz saxophonist, recording artist, and bandleader whose signature sound blends the sophistication of jazz with the soulful energy of R&B, funk, and contemporary music. Primarily a tenor saxophonist, Delton is known for his warm, expressive sound and his ability to create music that connects with audiences on an emotional level. A significant milestone in Delton's career is his relationship with renowned contemporary jazz saxophonist, recording artist, and educator Walter Beasley. Walter Beasley has recognized Delton not only as a musician, but as his student and as an artist with a promising future in smooth jazz. Beasley describes Delton: “Delton Walker represents what I believe to be the future of smooth jazz. His ability to create a strong, yet intimate project, is representative of his vision and work ethic. One of the most remarkable chapters in Delton's recording career occurred when Colonel Ron Garan, NASA astronaut and former U.S. Air Force Colonel, took Delton's music aboard the International Space Station during a Soyuz mission. Having his music travel into space is one of the most extraordinary accomplishments of Delton's recording career. As a recording artist, Delton has released several projects, including Back In Your Arms Again, Back on Track, and his latest album, I'm Not Finished Yet. His music continues to reach audiences through streaming platforms, radio, live performances, and physical CD releases. As a performer and bandleader, Delton presents everything from intimate solo saxophone performances to full-band contemporary jazz productions for concerts, corporate events, private celebrations, upscale venues, and special events. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Delton also uses his music to give back to the veteran community through performances and service.
