My Jazz Story
The first jazz record I bought as a gift for someone else was by Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. It was so good I didn't want to lend mine out, so I purchased it for my aunt and uncle. They kept it (well played) all of their lives. They shared their love of jazz with me, particularly live jazz, and we traveled so many places to hear some of the best artists they loved. Great memories. Ultimately I'd write about up and coming new jazz musicians in my adult life. Children do listen and pay attention when adults share great music.
