About Me

The Bottom is Up! I am an pocket electric bass player and bandleader.

My Musical Journey Early Beginnings I began playing bass at the age of eight in a gospel group that performed throughout North Carolina. This early start laid the foundation for my lifelong passion for music. Career Path and Travels My bass guitar accompanied me on a remarkable journey, taking me from North Carolina to the Air Force, then to Philadelphia, the Washington, DC area, and now to Florida. Throughout these moves, I consistently served as the bandleader, forming numerous bands, most of which focused on jazz music. Festival Performances I've played at festivals in Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, and other locations. Some memorable venues include Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, the Virginia Beach Jazz Festival, Wildwood, NJ Festivals, and Blues Alley in Georgetown, DC, among others.

My Jazz Story

I love Jazz for the stories that's being told by the music. One can listen to the same song that is performed in many different ways. The musician's improvs are extraordinary letting the same song be played over and over again but sounding different each time. You can let your imagination take you to a place in time that is so pleasing and relaxing. Love that Smooth Jazz!
