My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it combines so many musics. It has so many roots. It's lively, profound, rowdy, contemplative, . . .This is silly. I love it because... just listen to
this! (followed by Trane, Monk, Miles, Mingus, Rollins, and so many newer players...
The first jazz record I bought was... Much in Common, featuring Ray Brown, Milt Jackson and Gospel queen Marion Williams, not to mention Kenny Burrell,
Wild Bill Davis, Hank Jones and Albert Heath.
