About Me
My Jazz Story
Danielle Angrand is an emerging Haitian American mezzo soprano and jazz vocalist whose artistry is rooted in a deep appreciation for her dual heritage. A 2025 YoungArts Jazz Voice
Winner now studying Vocal Performance at Morgan State University, she is humbled and inspired by milestones like her acceptance into the Denyce Graves Shared Voices Cohort,
seeing it as an honor to contribute to the lineage of Black women in classical music.
Her artistic path is uniquely dual. Alongside her classical discipline, she is passionately drawn to jazz as a foundational Black American art form, exploring its history and language
through formal training at Brevard Jazz Camp and the organic dialogue of local jam sessions. Danielle is dedicated to a career that honors these interconnected traditions, aspiring to
perform, record, and advocate in a way that celebrates the full spectrum of her culture and fosters inclusivity in all musical spaces
