Professor of Music, University of Wisconsin - Waukehsa, trumpet player, and music lover.
I am currently Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin - Waukesha. I also serve as Chair of the Department of Music for the 13 campus University of Wisconsin Colleges. My educational background includes a B.M. in Music Education from Boise State University and M.M.E. and Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of North Texas. In addition to my duties I also continue to enjoy performing on trumpet professionally in the greater Waukesha - Milwaukee area and enjoy writing reviews of new music on CD. Although I perform in both classical and jazz settings, my primary performing outlet is as a member of the Waukesha based 19 piece Jazz Express Big Band. The band has recorded a couple of CDs and we performed in London in 2004. I have also recorded with the Wisconsin Wind Orchestra and the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band.
