My Jazz Story

I love jazz because jazz is an expression of life expressed thru music. I was first exposed to jazz by my brother Larry who brought home some albums of John Coltrane and others. I Love John and Alice Coltrane because they were both Great Musicians and they bridged the space between Entertainment and InnerTainment. I work in the Community with others to bring John and Alice Coltrane to the masses thru doing Tribute events and presentations. .

My House Concert Story

Our organization, TraneTraxx Lounge sponsors events to bring the works of John and Alice Coltrane to the masses. We have done many Great and Wonderful shows. We seek out the best talent and they come and light up our World with their Tribute to John Coltrane. Our first one at Cafe Stritch in San Jose had an All Star cast; Tiffany Austin, Marcus Shelby, James Mahone, Howard Wiley and Tim Lin and others. We have had a show with the Great Azar Lawrence I would say is the show I expected and received the most from. However, the show with Steve Heckman was a mind blower and he had the tone of Coltrane down. We did a Miles Davis/Coltrane connections show with Geechie Taylor on Trumpet, Andrew Speight on Alto and Lyle Link on Tenor and others, it was Great and Wonderful. I look forward to our next presentation. I am counting the days we get Pharoah Sanders to do a presentation and I hope it happens.
