I truly do not like people that are “into” jazz because it's the “hip” thing to do. There knowledge of the music is non-existent and they only want to be “seen” at the venues. You can play them anything, tell them it's jazz, and they swallow it without hesitation. They help to propagate posers and hacks. They wouldn't know talent if it smacked them in the face.
