About Me

Christos Yerolatsitis is a Cypriot Jazz pianist, keyboardist and composer. With an interest in various music genres, Christos’s music is diverse and flexible to go in different directions with an interest in various music genres.

Christos moved to The Netherlands in 2009 where he studied Jazz piano performance at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague (BA 2009-2013) and Conservatorium van Amsterdam (MA 2013-2015). Soon after his arrival he got into the Dutch jazz scene and performed all around the country with well known artists, such as Benjamin Herman, John Ruocco, Simon Rigter, Ben van den Dungen and Ben Van Gelder.

In 2016 he appeared in the biggest theatres of the country with the “Eef van Breen Group” in cooperation with the extremely successful theatre production “Borgen”.

In 2017 he moved to Mumbai where he got employed as the head of the Piano department of the True School of Music, one of India’s biggest music schools. During his stay in India, Christos has performed with many bands in music festivals and jazz clubs and shared the stage with names such as Ranjit Barot (John Maclaughlin’s drummer) and Erik Truffaz (trumpet) as well as Indian Carnatic musicians like Sabir Khan (Indian Sarangi player) and Bangalore Amrit (Indian Khanjira).

Christos recorded with artists such as the Eef van Breen Group “Walk of Doubts”, Tree of Dawn “Journey” and “Electric Tree”, Ioannis Vafeas Trio “Catharsis”, Francesco Amenta Quartet “Colors and Ties”, a.R project “Complexity”.

He appeared in festivals, theatres and venues all over the world such as Tivoli Vredenburg (Utrecht), Tolhuistuin (Amsterdam), Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Musis (Arnhem), Paradox (Tilburg), Regentenkamer (The Hague), Oosterpoort (Groningen), Odeon (Zwole) and De Lieve Vrouw (Amersfoort), Gouvy Jazz & Blues Festival (Belgium), Cyprus Rialto World Music Festival (Limassol) Rhodes Jazz Festival, Vamos Jazz Festival (Crete), Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival, Markideio Theatre (Paphos), Paradise Jazz Festival (Paphos), Aglanjazz festival (Nicosia), “Jazzclun Schlot” (Berlin), The Quarter (Mumbai), NCPA Theater (Mumbai), Shisha (Pune) and more.

Christos is currently based in Cyprus working with various International bands as a leader and a sideman.
