Christos Yerolatsitis is a Cypriot Jazz pianist, keyboardist and composer.
About Me
The Cypriot pianist and keyboardist Christos Yerolatsitis is a forward-thinking
musician whose eclectic tastes have led him to explore the forever-changing
musical landscape where different music genres blend into one another.
Christos was trained in the post-bop tradition for which he has a deep appreciation,
and which remains part of his musical persona. His proficiency and personal style in
the genre haven’t gone unnoticed by both his peers and listeners alike, and have led
him to work and record with numerous musicians and projects around the world.
Christos was formally trained in The Netherlands where he received a BA degree in
Jazz Performance from The Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2013) and an MA
degree from Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2015).
During his time there, he had the honor to share the stage with musicians such as
Benjamin Herman, John Ruocco, Simon Rigter, Ben van den Dungen, and Ben Van
Gelder among others.
In 2016, Christos worked with the Eef van Breen Group in cooperation with Het
Noord Nederlands Toneel as part of the extremely successful 9-hour theatre
production “Borgen” which appeared in all the biggest theaters of the country.
In 2017, he became the head of the piano department at the True School of Music,
one of the biggest music schools in India. During his time in there, Christos
performed with various bands in music festivals and jazz clubs and had the
opportunity to share the stage with musicians like Ranjit Barot (known for his work
with John Maclaughlin) and Erik Trufaz.
Currently, Christos is based in Cyprus, where he is working with various local and
international bands.
