My House Concert Story
I have recently seen some excellent concerts at Piedmont Piano in Oakland, CA. Larry Vuckovich's 89th birthday concert, accompanied by excellent guitarist Kai Lyons. A
couple of months later it was the Marcus Shelby sextet doing an outstanding tribute to Charle Mingus's compositions. Last October I was visiting NYC, and was able to see
the Vanguard Big Band at the Village Vanguard, something all jazz fans should do, it was a tight, top-notch performance (October 2025)!
