I love jazz because it inspires creativity, provokes thought, and is a lot of fun. I was first exposed to jazz at birth I have met so many wodnerful jazz musicians. The best show I ever attended was Bill Evans at the Vanguard. The first jazz record I bought was Oscar Peterson Trio. My advice to new listeners is to focus on only one instrument at a time. The entire jazz community includes some of the nicest and most sophisticated people on the planet (musicians, listeners, club owners, etc.)! What a privilige it is to be associated with such a wonderful community!!!
