About Me
Chris DeVito is a jazz pianist, educator and the the founder of Blue Truffle Music, LLC., a small independent jazz record label. He was born and based in the greater New York City metropolitan area. His earliest jazz influences were his grandfathers, one a jazz bassist and the other a stride pianist. Chris has performed with Spirit of Life Ensemble, Dr. Ali's Twilight Jazz Band, the Frank Grasso Quintet, Gregory Grispart, Gerry Cappuccio, Hilliard Green, Curtis Lundy, Ian Kenselaar, Michael Logon, Chris Berger, Tom Pietrycha, among many others. He also conducted a series of solo piano concerts and lectures for the 125th birthday of stride pianist James P. Johnson. Chris is the founder of Blue Truffle Music, LLC, dedicated to the “Art of Fine Jazz” and is the treasurer of the New Brunswick Jazz Project.
