Pamai Chirdkiatisak

Pamai Chirdkiatisak is a modern jazz guitarist and composer from Thailand. “All About Jazz”
described his debut album “Dreamer, one quickly realizes that those phrases are more than mere
slogans or platitudes”. Pamai communicates with other musicians and audiences about how he
motivates people to pursue their passions. Leader of the “Pamai Ch. Quartet”, Pamai, an
internationally renowned jazz musician and educator, has inspired students, other musicians, and
their audiences in a warm and welcoming manner.
Pamai received third prize in the Made in New York Jazz Online Competition 2016 and
performed in the Tribeca Performing Arts Center's Gala Jazz Concert in New York City, which
featured legendary drummer Lenny White, bassist John Benitez, Caloé, Alexis Baro, and
many of other international artists from the Americas, Europe, Russia, and Asia. In addition, he
performed as Pamai Ch. Quartet, Dreamer in the 2018 International Jazz Day, which was
organized by Sweet Record and Unesco.
Learning guitar from his father at age of fourteen, Pamai went to Mahidol University's College
of Music to further his education (High school and B.M.) and continued his education (M.M.) at
the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York City. He is a doctoral student in the Jazz
Department of Mahidol University's College of Music (D.M.). He won first prize in the
Thailand International Jazz Conferences Competition in Junior (2012) and Open Division
(2015). With the band Black Tiger, he also won first place in the Thailand Jazz Competition
(2014).
