Cezary L. Lerski is a longtime advocate for adventurous music and one of the most recognizable voices documenting Polish jazz and improvised sound. As editor‑in‑chief of PolishJazz.com since 2001, he has shaped the longest‑running online resource dedicated to Poland’s jazz scene, curating criticism, history, and commentary with an archivist’s care and a producer’s ear. After founder Marek Winiarski stepped back, Cezary — closely involved with the label since the early 2000s — assumed editorial leadership of Not Two Records, focusing on connecting musicians and projects from around the world and guiding the label’s next chapter of boundary‑pushing jazz and improvisation. His work extends across collaborations with artists, labels — including a particularly fruitful partnership with Ictus Records, the historic Italian imprint founded by Andrea Centazzo — and publishers, as well as ongoing involvement with Poland’s Acte Préalable, the world’s leading label for premiere recordings of Polish classical music, whose 600‑plus‑title catalogue documents hundreds of composers and first‑ever recordings. Beyond his editorial and production roles, Cezary is an active blogger, podcaster, and contributor to outlets such as All About Jazz, Culture.pl, Jazz Forum, Motorcycle World, and others, bringing context and visibility to musicians working at the edges of jazz, improvisation, and contemporary composition. An avid hiker, he now makes his home in the mountains of Northern California.
