Cathryn McGill

Cathryn McGill - Singer/Songwriter - Electrifying "Gospel Cooked" Jazz and Blues

About Me

Cathryn McGill is a favorite featured singer/songwriter in the Southwest. She has shared the stage with major artists such as Lyle Lovett, the late Grover Washington, Jr. and Bo Diddley among others. Stylistically Cathryn is influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Roberta Flack and Betty Carter, but she has perfected a presentation all her own. One reviewer described her vocal performance as “electrifying, gospel-cooked jazz and blues.” Cathryn has deep roots in the gospel tradition having grown up singing in church choirs in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Today you’ll find Ms. McGill lighting up the stage in churches and nightclub and concert venues all over the world.
