My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz in college. I had heard a little here and there previously, but my college guitar teacher really pushed listening to jazz guitarists, some of whom, I later learned, were his friends since the 50s. He had a way of tying the music to the players as people, because to him, they were. It opened a whole world I didn't know existed and after that, I was obsessed with hearing and learning as much as I could.
