About Me
Buket was born in Eskişehir, Turkey. She took her very first steps in music through the piano lessons in elementary school. During those years, in Anadolu University State Conservatory at the Department of Piano she had been the student of Zöhrab Adıgüzelzade. Her earliest experience as a vocal was in high school years, in Eskişehir Anatolian High School. In university while studying Architecture at METU, she worked with Yıldız İbrahimova. After graduated, with an ambition to proceed her music career in jazz, she started to take jazz vocal lessons from Meltem Ege. In April 2012, she has applied for Berklee College of Music and got accepted as a jazz vocal performist. In the July of the same year, she attended the Pulawy International Jazz Workshop held in Poland and found the opportunity to work with experienced musicians including Sibel Köse. In the following October, she was given the chance to share the same stage with famous Turkish jazz musicians as a finalist in Jamzz Young Talents Competition organized by Akbank Art. In March 2013, she has participated in 9th Nardis Young Jazz Vocalist competition, elected as a finalist and she was deemed to deserve the second prize of the competition.In June 2013, she got accepted from “Codarts”, “Utrecht's Conservatorium”, and ”Prins Claus Conservatorıum” ın Netherlands. From September 2013, she has continue her jazz vocal education at “Utrecht Conservatorium”.
