33-year-old Drummer/Percussionist Brian Menendez is fluent in a variety of settings from Jazz and Blues to Classical and Pop. He has shared the stage with artists including Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Kenny Garrett, Bunky Green, Keith Javors, Eddie Kirkland, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, Mulgrew Miller, and Maria Schneider. Current News Today, Brian is engaged in performances at clubs and private functions with “The Brian Menendez Trio”, “Doug Deming And The Jewel Tones” and other freelance work. He also teaches private lessons at his studio in Stuart at Jerry’s Guitars and More. He has been the recipient of numerous other scholarships and awards from former institutions. As an educator Brian has taught privately since 1998 and worked with all ages and skill levels from youngsters to baby boomers.
