About Me

I've lived in NYC for 21 years. I am a Grammy Nominated, Downbeat “Rising Star”, Hammond Endorsed, Posi-tone recording artist. I've recorded and performed with everyone from Lou Donaldson to Joni Mitchell. I also write about music. I write master classes for Keyboard Magazine and Downbeat and reviews for the NYC Jazz Record.

My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...Nobody tells me what to do :) I was first exposed to jazz...When a piano teacher gave me The Bill Evans album, Waltz for Debby I met [musician name]... The best show I ever attended was...Joel Frahm sitting in at a Jam Session at Smalls The first jazz record I bought was...Unfinished Business by Jimmy Smith My advice to new listeners...Open your Mind!! Or whatever else you have in mind.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
