My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it connotes more artistic freedom than nearly any other kind of music. Jazz cam embrace ALL styles while remaining distinctly itself. It demands much of the practitioner, and can at times demand a great deal from the audience.
I was first exposed to jazz in my father's house.
My advice to new listeners is start by listening to as much blues as you care to. Blues is the genetic father of most jazz music. If you listen closely you will probably hear blues in most of the jazz music you listen to later on.
