The first jazz record I bought was Terje Rypdal with Jack De Johnette and Miroslav Vitous, recorded in June 1978, released on ECM (ECM 1125).

My House Concert Story

I had an epoch-making experience hearing Jan Garbarek for the first time when he visited the local movie theater with his band. At the time, it was with Bill Frisell, Eberhard Weber, and Michael Di Pasqua. I'll never forget it.
