My Jazz Story
I never really knew what jazz was, though I knew a few names, most obviously Ronnie Scott (as a Londoner). Back in the 1980s I saw
Steve Williamson first trip to the club,
Irakere several times and then (after a few years) Charlie Watts Big Band, which included Evan Parker, who was playing live half an hour
away very soon, and next month, and the
next and ... I ended up barman at the club.
