Barbara was encouraged by the late Eddie Shu, a tenor saxophonist formerly with Gene Krupa, Dave Gibson, a drummer, formerly with the Count Basie Orchestra under the direction of Frank Foster, and for the past 17 years by Pianist Joe Bonner. Paris is and enthusiatic educator, inspiring and encouraging students to excel to explore their full potential. She has recorded 4 fine cd and is a welcome fixture in the Colorado jazz scene, occasionally singing on both East and West Coasts, Argentina and Europe.
