About Me

Austin Walker is a consummate jazz drummer, multi faceted percussionist, composer arranger and educator. His performance experience includes extensive live performance, studio recordings and educational presentations within the greater New York City metro area. Holding a B.M and a M.M in Jazz Drumset Performance both from The Manhattan School of Music in New York. It was there Austin received private tutelage from renowned drummer/educator John Riley. In the past Austin Walker has been a faculty performing artist for The Manhattan School of Music, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Jose Limon Dance Company, Ballet Academy East and The 92nd Street Y. Producer of The Sugar Hill Trio Austin maintains an active career as a performing artist in jazz venues around the world.
