I love jazz because it never gets boring. The same tune can be played a thousand different ways. I was first exposed to jazz when I still lived in Germany and met a knowledgeable jazz fan. The best show I ever attended was Jazz at the Philharmonic with Ella Fitzgerald at Hamburg's largest music hall at that time. The first jazz record I bought was Wonderful Copenhagen, Dave Brubeck Quartet. My advice to new listeners: If you are new to this music, learn to really listen. This is definitely not elevator music.
