Electric and acoustic jazz bassist and composer based on Copenhagen, Denmark
About Me
Originally from Madrid, Spain, he lives in Copenhagen, Denmark, since late 2017. Quite an active performer in Madrid's scene, he led his Arturo Mora Trio (EP “Sign of the Future”, 2014) for which he provided the whole repertoire. Member of the jazz bands Angel Rubio Jazz Trio, One By One, Juan Camacho Quartet (CD “La estrategia del tiempo”, 2008) and Tet-Quart (CD “Silencio”, 2010), he belonged to the Kyrios Jazz Quartet, house band for the weekly jam session at Madrid's Segundo Jazz Club (2006-2015), and to the Way Up Trio, house band for another weekly jam session at Madrid's Moe Club (2014-2015). Author of the soundtrack for the short film “Icaria” (George Karja, 2006), Arturo has also played with foreign musicians in short Spanish tours: (Margaret Stowe -Canada- 2008, Riner Scivally -USA- 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 -along with Isla Eckinger- & 2014, Virginia Ramírez -Venezuela- 2010, Paul Brewer & Cheryl Walters -USA- 2014, and Juliet Annerino -USA- 2010, 2011 & 2012 in New York along with guitarist Nick Demopoulos). He performed at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in 2019 with DAS Trio.
