In the thick of formal thresholds, Arian Bagheri Pour Fallah has mobilized creative endeavors
from experimental poetry
and acousmatic, microtonal music to essays on literature, contemporary classical, electroacoustic,
music—from there, his
adoption of the term transdisciplinary contra interdisciplinary, so as to stress transgression contra
consummation, creation contra
criticism. Arian has co-led and played multiple instruments in Strasbourg's The Blunder Of A Horse since 2011
when he originally founded the ensemble, only to be joined by his colleague, the multi-instrumentalist Ashkan
a year later. He is an avid listener of all American music that isn't Cage or
'minimal,' from Henry
Cowell to Chaim Moshe Tzadik Palestine, and calls for an ethnography of the ever-emerging European free improv.
