My advice to new listeners - Choose an instrument and listen to different jazzmen over the years. E.g. Piano - listen to Art Tatum, Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson,
Bud Powell and Thelonious Monk. Feel and understand each jazzman's style, stance, then go to their compositions, live performances - a lot on youtube. If you are
moved by what you hear, you are a jazz fan! It's that simple.
