About Me

Jazz/pop musician from Austria who just released her new album "On her mind"

”On Her Mind” showcases Anna Maurer in every facet of her artistry – as a vocalist, songwriter, pianist, and composer. Drawing on influences from jazz, Latin, soul, and R&B, she blends them seamlessly with the structural foundations of pop, while retaining rich harmonies and playful rhythmic nuances. The songs explore themes of friendship, solidarity, freedom, and the emotional highs and lows of life. Performed by an acoustic quartet, the music embraces an organic sound that values authenticity, warmth, and genuine human interaction. In an age increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, the project stands as a statement for the enduring importance of human creativity and artistic expression. My Jazz Story

I was first exposed to jazz through my dad who's a phenomenal saxophone player. I grew up with this music and now I love to play together with my dad as well. My advice to new listeners is to stay open, try different jazz styles and focus on all the details and variety in improvised music. Jazz is passion, creativity, energy, movement and fun!
