With an affinity for analog recording, vintage instruments, film cameras, string quartets, & brooding melodies, Andy Pratt creates a modern impressionist world for his music to live within. Pratt sings with a dry vocal & a touch of vibrato unaltered by any synthetic effects. He is a storyteller who sings to clearly evoke a mood, space or time. Pratt is currently preparing for his upcoming April 2017 release, “Horizon Disrupted.” The album was recorded by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago. It features eight original songs with a jazz trio & lush string quartet arrangements.
