1983 Naples (Italy). Like many other jazz pianists he has studied classical music in his youth, however jazz was always part of his studies where he met the likes of George Cables, Kenny Barron, Kevin Hays, Barry Harris and others. Already at the age of 17 he founded the DEA Trio with Daniele Sorrentino and Elio Coppola. This became a very popular trio that won several contests. The trio has toured and played many festivals and are still active and are soon out with a new recording, “Secret Love” for the Itinera label. His first record as a leader came in 2010 and was called “White Room”. His second came in 2014, “Arioso” with Stefano De Battista as a special guest. Apart from his own trios, he is touring with the very famous Stefano Di Battista 4et. Like the two others in the trio, he has played with more or less everyone in the present Italian jazz life and with foreign musicians like Dee Dee Bridgewater, Richard Galliano, Archie Shepp, Joe Lovano ao.
