Amanda Tiffin is Cape Town’s best-loved jazz vocalist-pianist.

Amanda Tiffin was born in Zimbabwe, but has made her home and her name in Cape Town, South Africa, where she studied Jazz Composition and Performance at the University of Cape Town. She has gone on to become one of Cape Town’s best-loved vocalist-pianists, and a respected Musical Director/Arranger, orchestrator and composer. Amanda has performed extensively as a vocalist and pianist in South Africa in numerous Jazz venues, Concert Halls and festivals. As an international artist she has appeared on stages from Abu Dhabi to Zimbabwe, including London, Paris, Italy and regular tours as a jazz artist to Japan and Taiwan. A versatile artist, Amanda has performed in varying genres: from Musical theatre and stage shows to intimate jazz concerts. She has produced several of her own successful theatre shows, to critical acclaim, is in demand as a Musical Director, and is a busy vocal and big band arranger, writing for a variety of vocal and instrument combinations. She has recorded 5 albums and is set to release her 6th, an international collaboration with artists from Holland, Brazil and South Africa, early in 2019. Amanda is a respected educator, with a passion for youth development, and regularly conducts workshops and master classes in South Africa and abroad. She is Head of Jazz Singing and in 2019 will take over as Head of Jazz Studies at the University of Cape Town
