My Jazz Story
I was first exposed to jazz as a teenager when I heard Miles Davis for the first time. I was a classical piano student and enjoyed learning pop music by ear, but my ears had never been exposed to the
harmonic and rhythmic complexity that jazz provided. I proceeded to learn all I could about this fantastic genre of music, majored in jazz piano in college, and now consider jazz the cornerstone of my
performance career.
