My Jazz Story

I love jazz because... I was first exposed to jazz when I was bought a record player for my 15th birthday and my great auntie gave me some money to buy a record, In fact 2 because she told me to buy her a Jim Reeves l.p. I bought that and then asked the shopkeeper for a jazz record for less than 30 shillings, which was all I had. He sold me a record I knew nothing about, it was a Realm Jazz release(inexpensive label!)'John Coltrane on West 42nd Street' ..What an introduction, essentially serendipitous and it changed my life. I met [musician name]... The best show I ever attended was... The first jazz record I bought was... My advice to new listeners... Or whatever else you have in mind.
