More Than a Media Platform
We believe jazz deserves more than coverage—it deserves stewardship.
Every day we work to preserve its history, celebrate today's artists, expand opportunities for discovery and strengthen the connections that sustain the global jazz community.
All About Jazz connects people with the music, musicians and stories that shape jazz. Jazz Near You extends that mission into the live music world, helping audiences discover concerts, venues, festivals and other opportunities to experience jazz in their communities and around the world.
From award-winning journalism and artist interviews to live event discovery, archival preservation and innovative digital experiences, our mission is simple:
Help jazz thrive.
Introducing All About Jazz Media
All About Jazz Media is our creative partnership and production division.
Working alongside All About Jazz and Jazz Near You, we collaborate with organizations to produce original programming, documentary-style features, interview series, educational content, archival initiatives and multimedia experiences that inspire audiences while preserving stories that might otherwise be lost.
We believe the most meaningful projects don't simply promote jazz—they become part of its history.
Why Partner With Us?
Every partnership is unique, but they all begin with a shared purpose: strengthening the jazz ecosystem. We believe the most meaningful partnerships are based on equality, reciprocity and long-term commitment.
Our partners gain more than access to a media outlet. They can draw upon an established international jazz audience, decades of editorial experience, extensive musician and venue databases, live-event discovery tools, digital publishing infrastructure and creative production capabilities.
Just as importantly, they gain a collaborator with a long-term investment in the health and future of jazz.
How We Partner
Our partnerships take many forms, often combining several areas of expertise to meet the needs of a particular project or initiative.
Media & Audience Partnerships
Connect artists, organizations, initiatives and experiences with our global jazz audience through newsletters, digital promotion, music discovery, live-event engagement and sustained audience development. We help partners build awareness, establish meaningful connections and reach people who are actively interested in jazz.
Creative & Content Partnerships
Collaborate with All About Jazz Media on original programming, interviews, documentary-style features, multimedia storytelling, educational content and archival projects. These partnerships bring important stories and ideas to life while creating content with value beyond a single campaign or event.
Discovery & Community Partnerships
Connect audiences with musicians, venues, festivals and live jazz experiences through the interconnected resources of All About Jazz and Jazz Near You. From artist discovery to local concert calendars and international cultural initiatives, we help people move from learning about jazz to experiencing it firsthand.
Cultural & Institutional Partnerships
Work with foundations, educational institutions, archives, cultural organizations and other mission-driven partners to preserve jazz history, support education and research, document important cultural moments and develop initiatives that strengthen the jazz community for future generations.
These categories aren't rigid packages. A collaboration might involve audience development, original content, live-event discovery, archival preservation or a combination of these capabilities. We work with our partners to identify opportunities that create meaningful value for everyone involved.

Leadership Team
About Michael Ricci
Michael Ricci is the founder of All About Jazz and Jazz Near You and an early pioneer in online cultural publishing whose work has helped define how jazz is documented, discovered and experienced on the internet.
Since launching All About Jazz in 1995, Ricci has transformed an independent jazz publication into the world's leading jazz platform, serving millions of users annually and connecting musicians, audiences, venues, festivals, educators, broadcasters, labels and organizations through one of the internet's most comprehensive jazz resources.
With a background in software development and a lifelong passion for jazz, Ricci recognized early that the internet could become far more than a publishing medium—it could become the foundation for an interconnected jazz ecosystem. That vision has guided the creation of Jazz Near You, All About Jazz Media, and a growing suite of community, discovery and educational initiatives designed to build the digital cultural infrastructure that helps jazz connect, grow and endure.
Today, Ricci leads the platform's long-term strategic vision, focusing on technologies and experiences that strengthen the global jazz community while preserving its rich history. His work is driven by a simple belief: jazz deserves a destination where its music, artists, stories and community can be discovered, connected and celebrated for generations to come.
