Album Description

25:03:22 is our 5th album and was recorded live at the Reginald Theatre, Seymour Centre, Sydney at a concert to launch our previous twin albums ‘Shadowland’ and ‘This God is Empty’. For the concert we were joined by guest artist saxophonist Robert Vincs who flew up from Melbourne to add his musical voice to the Polymorphic journey. 25:03:22 marks the date of the music’s creation. Using the date as the album name feels right for this long-form work. Although the tracks are indexed into 6 tracks it is actually one continuous work of 59min. As is common with most Polymorphic Orkestra performances we simply start and build sound worlds and ideas as we go and finish when it feels right. However, our explorations are not rudderless. We collectively are aware and selectively nudge each other musically when we feel an idea needs moving on. Our aim is to make engaging, enveloping improvised sound-worlds that take us and our audience on a journey. For us a successful performance is the feeling we experience as it is created and 25:03:22 felt great as we set it free into the air to share with the audience.
