About Wavetone Records

Since its inception in 1992, WAVETONE RECORDS has established itself as one of the most innovative and cutting edge independent record labels for discovering and releasing contemporary instrumental music. World-renowned bassist and label founder Mark Egan brings his thirty years of production, recording and performing experience to the label, and is dedicated to providing an outlet for creative music projects.

• Elements, Far East Volume I & II and Elements Untold Stories, all recorded live in Japan. This series captures the true beauty and mystique of this far away land through its diverse musical textures and soundscapes. • House of Mirrors which showcases Jeff Ciampa's extraordinary fluid and melodic style in a creative jazz trio setting; also features Danny Gottlieb and Mark Egan.
  
  
• Mosaic, Mark Egan's first solo project, featuring percussionist Manolo Badrena, and keyboardist Clifford Carter.
  
  
• Freedom Town, Mark Egan's fourth recording as a leader which featuring his unique fretless bass sound and style in a contemporary jazz setting. Guest artists include saxophonist Bill Evans, keyboardist Clifford Carter, guitarist Jeff Ciampa, drummer Danny Gottlieb, and trumpeter Lew Soloff.
  
  
• As We Speak, Egan's fifth recording as a leader is a super trio outing featuring John Abercrombie and Danny Gottlieb.
  
  
• Beyond Words, Egan's re-release of the Brazilian influenced project featuring Antonio Horta, Bill Evans, Steve Khan, Danny Gottlieb, Clifford Carter and Don Alias.
  
  
• Jeff Laibson, Mark Egan, Danny Gottlieb Trio which features an experimental acoustic format.
  
  

Wavetone owns and operates its own state-of-the-art production facility, Electric Fields. The studio is equipped with a Pro Tools HD3 accel digital recording system and an array of vintage sound processing gear. Electric Fields has played host to many musicians and commercial clients.
