Rob Crocker
Born:
Rob Crocker, who worked as a radio host at WBGO for more than three decades, died on March 7, 2024, at his home in New York City. He was 78 years old. The cause of death, according to his family, was coronary disease and complications from asthma. Crocker had the singular distinction of being the longest-running disc jockey in the history of jazz radio in New York City.
Born in Brooklyn on November 1, 1945, Crocker was a musician in high school, but his life took a turn towards broadcasting when injuries, sustained in Vietnam, cut short his future as a performer. He started his broadcasting career as a programmer in Europe; Crocker co-hosted the Holland-based show "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" for Radio Free America.

Three other tracks (Strange Proximity, Convergence, and EXCR) are currently undergoing mixing and mastering, and all four will make up her first EP project 'Disintegration'.

Hank Levy Legacy Band
ABOUT HANK LEVY Hank came of age in the 1940s, when big bands crisscrossed the country playing one-nighters, and when people in Baltimore and other cities regularly went out dancing in nightclubs and ballrooms. There were many excellent bands in the area staffed by musicians in the armed forces and musicians and ideas circulated freely among these groups. Levy was part of this milieu (he attended the Navy School of Music during his three-year hitch) and took full advantage of it in his later career as a teacher, composer, and bandleader. A Baltimore native, Hank graduated from Baltimore City College, where he led his first band, then attended several colleges, including an unhappy year at the Peabody Conservatory

Molly Mahoney
I'll conserve my words and avoid giving the full spiel, but Molly Mahoney is more than a client to me. She's the
answer to vocal jazz's future, the logical next step from Nicole Henry and Madeleine Peyroux. The crossover artist
with a classical voice is releasing a tribute album of sorts, but it's a bit different—it's a tribute to a cousin, Cole
Porter.
Molly grew up in a world she credits for taking her as far as she's gone. She began performing with a traveling big
band at age ten and hasn't stopped performing since (save for that whole uncomfortable year before the vaccine)
