Album Description
The Trio was formed in 2021 and has mostly played around Copenhagen (DK) for the moment. There is clearly an inspiration from both Sonny Rollins and Joe Henderson's tenor/bass/drum experiences, as well as the many other influences we have had over time. Le leader starter out in the late seventies in a free jazz setting with saxophonist John Tchicai, and soon after became a member of groups led by musicians/composers from Brazil (Mozar Terra, Nenê Baterista...), Turkey (Atilla Engin), Cameroun (Jean Darouiche, The Voodoo Gang), and at the same time exploring the harmonic language of modern jazz. Matthias Petri and David Besiakov are both close to 30, and have both been very active on the scene for some years, both with personality and energy.
