Album Description

Margaret Slovak's quartet CD, "For the Moment," features eight of her lyrical original compositions: six quartet pieces, one guitar/piano duo song and one solo guitar track. This CD was originally recorded in New York City in November, 1989; it was released in November, 2007. In 2023, the CD package was updated to a digipak format. The NYC- based quartet consists of Margaret Slovak on electric guitar, along with the extraordinary pianist Fred Hersch, the amazing acoustic bassist Michael Formanek, and the wonderful drummer Michael Sarin.
