Laurent Nicoud

Born:

Swiss born pianist and composer Laurent Nicoud expresses himself from solo piano to jazz trio and quintet or as a soloist with symphony orchestra. After studying classical music in his home country until 2012 where he obtained his master, he played several concerts as a chamber musician or soloist. He formed his first trio in 2010 at 18 years old in his home town. After teaching and playing many concerts, he moved to Brooklyn where he studied deeply jazz and improvisation with Jacob Sacks. He recorded his first album there in 2018 containing twelve original tunes. He aslo formed a second trio with Brooklyn based musicians Noah Garabedian and Alex Feldman in 2018
