Mark Koch Trio: Red, Blue & Green
Suona bene il trio di Mark Koch. Molto bene. L'inizio di Red, Blue & Green lascia ben sperare. E però, dopo i primi due-tre minuti comincia a sorgere qualche dubbio.

Un sound troppo preciso, qua e là un leggero ammiccamento, una spruzzata di Jarrett, una di jazz scandinavo targato ECM, un tocco di Esbjorn Svensson. Il gioco si svela molto presto. Questo album, prima ancora che un disco di jazz, ci sembra un “prodotto”. Ovvero, un album realizzato avendo in mente il pubblico a cui si rivolge. Un pubblico non proprio alle prime armi con il jazz, ma neppure alla ricerca di grandi emozioni in musica.

Ed ecco così spuntare via-via un andamento latino, una risoluzione troppo ovvia per essere davvero convincente, un'atmosfera melancolica priva di introspezione. Peccato!
