Saturday Night, November 21st Austrian pianist and Thelonious Monk scholar, Hans Groiner, will play one set, followed by The Larry Goldings Quartet, Saturday November 21 from 8-11. Groiner, who will be making his west coast debut, says of the evening, “Das will be an honor to play opposite Larry Goldings, although I have never heard of him." Groiner and Goldings played at Smalls Jazz Club in New York to a sold out/packed house so get your tickets early. This event will be followed by a late night hang menu from 10p-12p. Local music aficionados and musicians like to hang out after the concert and this is a new menu Vitello's has prepared for that late night hang on certain nights.

Additionally, Goldings has put his Hammond Organ into Vitello's Jazz & Supper Club on an indefinite loan. Goldings will be launching a Monday Night Organ Night on December 14, 2009 at Vitello's. There will be guest hosts such as Bill Cunliffe, Joe Bagg for the Monday Organ night in his absence. “I am crazy about the new jazz room at Vitello's--and I couldn't think of a better place to indefinitely loan my Hammond organ. My hope is that Vitello's will host a regular organ night, which could really light a soulful spark onto the LA jazz. I foresee some late night grooving in Studio City."
