Jazz fm, one of the UK's fastest growing independent radio stations and the world's biggest dedicated jazz station, has launched ejazz.fm, a unique Internet audio channel, on 7th of June.

Ejazz.fm, which has been designed by the London based new media agency, ddw, will be a combination of free continuous broadcasting and a great value-for-money subscription only club, Club Ejazz, which will give access to unique material such as artist interviews, live concert webcasts from London's premier jazz venues and specialist programmes presented by top names.

Offering the dedicated jazz fan an ever growing catalogue of the best jazz music, ejazz.fm will offer two streamed audio channels playing continuous jazz; downtempo jazz will be available in the Blue Room while uptempo jazz will be accessed through the Red Room. A selection of jazz tracks will be available for MP3 downloading; there will be a chat room to exchange jazz news and views, and a quiz for real jazz afficionados. A monthly competition will offer highly attractive prizes and for real fact fans, on this day in history will give daily updates on significant jazz events around the world from the history books.

Says Simon Cooke, Head of Enterprises, jazz fm: “We already have more than 25,000 visitors a day to the jazzfm.com site with some 70% based in the US and we know from research there's a high percentage of people logging on who want access to more music from their favourite jazz genres, interviews with artists and live recordings. The aim of ejazz.fm is to provide all these things - and more - for the dedicated jazz head."
