This very special engagement has been produced with the permission and the support of the composer. Proceeds from the performance will benefit John Zorn's non-profit performance space The Stone, located in New York.

John Zorn is an American avant-garde composer, arranger, record producer, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist.

Zorn's recorded output is prolific with hundreds of album credits as a performer, composer, or producer. His work has touched on a wide range of musical genres, but he is best-known for his jazz, improvised and contemporary music. Zorn also led the notable experimental band Naked City, klezmer influenced quartet Masada, and produced music for many films and documentaries. -Wikipedia-

John Zorn is the artistic director of the artist's space in New York, The Stone. The Stone is a non-profit performance space dedicated to the experimental and avant-garde. All expenses are paid for by the music itself, through the online sale of Special Edition CDs released yearly on the Tzadik label, and donations. Each month a different musician is responsible for curating the programs with 100% of the nightly revenue going directly to the musicians. There are no refreshments or merchandise at The Stone. Only music.

Since 2004, prolific improvisational/experimental musician and composer Armen Nalbandian has with great prestige held the position of Musical Director/Resident Artist for the Fresno Art Museum. In 2004 the art community also witnessed the birth of Armen Nalbandian's “Rhythms of Art" monthly concert series hosted by the Fresno Art Museum. Over the years Nalbandian's “Rhythms of Art" program has been met with critical acclaim and overwhelming success with Nalbandian's musical endeavors which range from performance of original compositions inspired by the museum's artistic exhibitions to expanded “Sound Ensembles" improvising based on Armen's direction through “game pieces".
